The average temperature is below zero for nine solid months!

 Navidatum are normally asked to track relatively small items, from trucks in the Middle East to a smartphone in Europe.

We were fascinated when approached by BBC Scotland seeking to track an ice island of several square kilometers. 

The challenges for us were the environmental conditions the Skywave Inmarsat M2M satellite terminal would experience, battery performance at these temperatures and now the fear that polar bears may play football with our terminal !
